Welcome to the crown chakra – purple globe!
The crown chakra is known as an opening for spirituality and connection to the higher self and others. The colour purple is also associated with knowledge, and this is where curiosity and wonder live, where the distance between what is real and what is perceived is synchronous, and all possibilities exist. When the crown chakra is open, you tend to experience more flow, a sense that the universe is working with you, and that anything is possible. These are the times to take deep dives.
Curiosity and wonder are critical when diving deep into shadow or dark side work. They make the exploration more playful, replacing trudging in the ditches of hard labour. I spent years in those ditches, like a dog searching for the bone, the answer, the meaning, the solution, the right thing to do. That’s what we do as human beings: we attempt to make sense and use logic to explain everything we experience. This is very much brain or ego-driven. Playfulness is a whole lot easier than chasing after learnings. It tends to be accompanied by compassion and a gentler approach. It does require being comfortable with the unknown and creating an inner knowing that it will eventually be revealed when it’s the right time.

This is the place for those of you who want to take a deeper dive.

Timeline therapy is a fast and effective way to change the chain of events leading to a certain set of unwanted behaviors or internal states, as well as subsequent similar experiences. Similar to plucking pearls off a necklace, past negative emotions and limiting decisions are eliminated so that it's possible for you to leave with positive emotions and empowering decisions.
-
A life full of opportunities to turn insignificance into significance.

Courses and Programs
The Core Leadership Series consists of three programs:
-
ReSet Now
-
BreakThru
-
The Practice.
These programs are affordable and the best value in personal and professional development I know of. All members of our support team are graduates of these programs and, based on personal value, all have continued to complete the Mastery Leadership Series.
These programs set a solid foundation for living a purpose-driven life! Much easier to stay above the line when I am on purpose. Highly recommended and available both online and in person.

The Mastery of Self Expression

Although I have not yet experienced this workshop, it comes highly recommended by some of our one-on-one support team members. It is on my current to-do list! More to come soon. Stay tuned!
Books

Making Miracles in Forty Days by Melody Beattie

Welcome to Melody’s miracle project where we give daily gratitude for negative emotions. I’ve come to call it my miracle practice. The process has helped me to shift my energy and increase the flow of my life. I am acutely aware of the ways small miracles show up every day. I recommend this as a practice post-Debbie Ford’s Dark Side of the Light Chasers. Ford’s book helps us explore behaviours and ways we show up whereas Beattie’s work urges us to dig into the emotions and the feelings of it all – particularly the emotions we have been taught to deny and withhold. It works well if you stick to the same partner for both Ford’s work and Beattie’s work.
The Artists Way by Julia Cameron
(morning page practice)
This is something I have done for more than 20 years. I have a large suitcase full of journals and I continue to add to them. Over the years, this practice has changed, adapted, become flexible and more and more reflective of my inner spirit. In a recent exploration of a different Julia Cameron book, I found myself unlearning the structure I had adapted over the years so I could re-learn the purpose and intention of morning pages and reconnect with that. I’ve also learned to capture nuggets for future writings or blogs and make note of those in a separate writing and noodling book. I have not re-read most of my journals. It feels like the work of a 3-month retreat somewhere in the woods by water!

The Dark Side of The Light Chasers by Debbie Ford
(shadow and light work)

This book opened me up and offered a different way to explore shadow or dark work. This is something I avoided and resisted for years. The opportunity to use humour and fun visioning activities to identify all those parts of me I didn’t like was amazing. Not only do I still remember (5 years later) who they all are, I have fallen in love with all those parts of me I had labelled dark. And this is the glory of diving into darkness work – it helped me to shed light on all that I perceive as cracks in my being. It helped me to identify and see the value of those dark characteristics and know the purpose they are here to serve!
Writing Down the Bones by Natalie Goldberg
(journaling and writing prompts and nuggets)

If you are an aspiring writer and want to have some fun while you practice, I highly recommend Goldberg’s books. She has many and Writing Down the Bones offered small nuggets I could immediately apply to provide encouragement and prompts to express myself. I believe I learned to express my unique style, cheeky and humour-based, through my learnings from her writings. She also has books for artists – another creative outlet for the expression of dark emotions, beliefs, or thoughts.
